“Let the word of the Anointed One richly inhabit your lives… Sing the psalms, compose hymns and songs inspired by the Spirit, and keep on singing—sing to God from hearts full and spilling over with thankfulness.” – Colossians 3:16

As Paul points out, Worship is key to allowing Scripture to richly inhabit our lives. God has been as clear as He can be on this. There are 185 songs in the Bible and even times where God commands armies to lay down their weapons and sing instead! (2 Chronicles 20)

It’s not a “warm-up” to the sermon while people are walking in a few minutes late to church. It’s as essential to growing in faith as teaching. Worship should call us deeper into the Word. As we memorize songs, we collect reminders of Truth in our spirit that cause teachings to come even more alive.

This week’s #worshipwednesday reminds us of the story of Lazarus and that nothing is impossible with a God who lives!

  1. Did you know that the Helsers were an important part of the WR during the early years? They did a number of our training camps.
