Worship opens an invitation for the presence of God to fill the room.

AND God’s presence brings REST.

David makes a declaration in Psalm 62 verse 1 – “I am at rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him“ and then he commands his soul to receive rest from God verse 5 – “Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from him.”

In a world that shouts go – go – go, REST is one of my favorite characteristics of the presence of God.

This new song from Cory Asbury is especially helping me get to that resting place this week.

Worship Wednesday – 01/24/18

Artist: Cory Asbury

Song: Endless Alleluia

Album: Reckless Love

Favorite Lyric:

In the evening when I lay my head down

In the evening when I close my eyes

You’re still the only One I wanna cling to

You’re the last thought on my mind
