Serbia - A Brief Overview

Formerly part of socialist Yugoslavia, Serbia’s people have a story to tell.

Serbia and its neighbors in the Balkan Peninsula have a long history of ethnic tension, as reorganized borders don’t always match the people living within the nation.

While many ethnic Serbs live in Albania, Montenegro, and other nearby countries, many people within Serbia’s borders claim another country as home.

Great social injustices on both sides have led to organized crime and human trafficking.

Those living in Serbia are hungry for hope and restoration.

Why support? Why Serbia? -

“We think what RJ and Kayla are doing is such an awesome pursuit of God’s call on their lives. They are leaving everything they know to pursue a life changing 11 month missions trip. As soon as we heard they were going to embark on this journey, we could hear God telling us to give and support them. We are so honored to be able to help them, and can’t wait to see how this trip changes their lives!” Greg and Shaina Lawrence
