A Brief Overview:

Chile is a long narrow country which extends like a ribbon down the west coast of South America. While the coastline is over 4,000 miles long, it is only about 61 miles wide. The country has suffered from many earthquakes, such as the massive 8.8-magnitude quake that struck the country in February 2010.

Because Chile stretches two-thirds the length of South America, it is home to an impressively varied climate: from the world’s driest desert in the north to Patagonia in the south.

About 40 percent of the population lives in the area around the capital of Santiago.

The country is one of the largest exporters of grapes.

Chile is also one of the most prosperous and successful countries on the continent, with a high standard of living and continual economic growth.

A Word from the Country’s Sponsor –

Why support Chile? –

“We support many people that are not our family and when we found out about this opportunity to join together with our children, there was no question. Many people think that when they go into the mission field they are there to serve; however, God uses mission work to help everyone to also grow in him. God has confirmed with us that this is what he wants us to be a part of. I (Roger) visited Chile while in the military and I have seen first hand the need for God in that country. It is a privilege to join you both in this mission field.” – Roger & Gina Taylor – RJ’s Parents
